A new mame was released and I'm dredding the update.

How many members here collect or want to collect a full mame rom set?

I wouldn't mind having one, but too much time and effort is involved in keeping up the full set.

I don't have the time to do it, so I don't worry about it.

Because if we all want it we should all find a way to minimize the upkeep of it. If we can figure out a system where we all share the update responsibilities it would be much easier and less stressfull.

I still don't have a 100% complete set yet and I was supposed to mail out everyone copies from last december:o

Post what is missing and I can upload it to your ftp. Then anyone can get it.

Do you mean assign everyone (who wants to do it) a range of letters, or part of the CHDs etc.? I wouldn't even know where to get them anymore.

IRC maybe? I can honestly say that at the moment I don't have one MAME ROM or image :-\

I'll help if you have someplace where you can download them

(If that doesn't take you there, just click on MAME and then the rest will be obvious).

The latest update to get from MAME 0.81 to 0.82 (if you don't collect the "U" releases) is approx 2 Gb.

D/L commenced but I don't know when it will finish.

As for where I am located - Australia.

Hey Release, i was wondering if i could bludge some chd's off you i've been getting some missing chd's off Ivwshane but would like to try somewhere closer (i'm in WA) I basically have a full mame set and get all my updated stuff off mirc but getting chd's off mirc is a long and painful job plus the last 2 1.7 gig d/ls i have gotten are corrupt :evil:

JewBoy - I don't have an FTP server, so I've no way of transferring the files to you other than uploading to ivwshane and then you d/l.

or if you use emule/edonkey I can give you a "friend slot".
