MAME 0.54 released

Postby RabidYak on Sat Aug 25, 2001 3:53 am

New MAME just got loose, 98% of it are core overhauls so theres not much in the way of games - 5 parents and 4 clones.

The CPU interface is in the middle of an overhaul so some stuff is broken. If you use MAME for CPS-2 and your cant go without, stick with the last vertion.

MAME 0.54 released

I don't get it, how come 0.54 supports 3102 games when 0.53 did? Either Gridle has made a mistake or I am crazy as MAME.dk has not updated yet.

Oh yes, Ian me old boy I notice you have made a habit of spelling "version" "vertion". Old habits die hard, maybe I should submit to you my driver?

LOL

Yeah, one of them words that I always spell wrong no matter how many times spell checkers and stuff pick it up.

This board not having a LOL smiley always catches me out as well dammit.

You've been doing that(vertion) since the emux days but I never said anything because I thought it was some sort of trade mark for you.

Yeah, don't bother even attempting to get rid of it. It should be consolidated trademark. After all how could that hinder you in real life unless you were a software engineer?

In that case it should be 3103, not 3102. That is for the five new games, but what about the clones..do they not count?

Just realised that myself, but just had a quick skim over the MAME board and apparently a few non-working sets have been removed.

Not in whatsnew, thats the first place I look at a new release.

It looks like its some early SEGA stuff thats been removed. Apparently they were pulled since theve been there ages and nobodys looking into them at the moment.
