Bubble Bobble 3

Postby Silverhaze on Fri Apr 25, 2003 9:22 am

I've always loved the BB series and have been playing the 3rd in the series for the past couple of days. Thing is.....although there are 80 levels, I can only seem to get to level 70 before it decides that enough is enough. I get some giant fish boss and get turned into a monster and the game ends.
I gather its got something to do with collecting those giant potions that drop down but Im not 100% on that.

Anybody know how to get to the final boss?

Also, I tried Liquid Kids with the missus last night and couldnt play it 2 player. I think I remember it being simultanious 2 player H2O action but Im not sure if I remember rightly. No known probs with the latest mame is there?

Um thanks for the help there guys :D:roll::D

I happen to enjoy these kind of games, fun to play 2 player like Snow Bros, Tumble Pop and tons of others. Anyway, I think I'll make a new post about peoples favourite games. Havent had one of them in a while.

Ive been getting into MvsC and MSH recently although I came across quite possibly the worst and most unfair boss I've ever seen. Cyber Akuma, you might have heard of him LOL

this might or might not be true silverhaze but i remember in bubble-bobble 1, u need to get an item to proceed to the rest of the levels of the game.

yes!yes there was...it would only appear for about 30 seconds and its usually an impossible spot to get to.if you dont get it, your game is pretty much ruined :(

I played it right througth and only got 70 levels as well. Not sure why that is, probably to do with pickups or something like the secret rooms in Rainbow Islands. Never bothered to look it up or try again, I prefer to play the original.

Dont get me started on Cyber Akuma, I hate that fuck with a vengence.

Its more sheer luck that you actually get any hits in on Cyber Akuma then anything, even if you do get an opening its usually gone almost instantly or he just blocks regardless of whether he should be able to or not.

Its bloody hard to find a pattern or strategy for him as well. If you go offensive he will constantly dodge, block and batter you at every opening and if you go defensive you'll just lose from continual fireball hammering or his unblockable one-hit-kills raging demon. IIRC, I beat him by building up super energy as quickly as possible and continually double teaming him with those beam fireball supers.

You should try the playsation version. If you think beating him with two characters is difficult, try doing it with just one.

You probably did it, I flew to the moon this morning after managing to play Llamatron for 5 hours without going blind.

Pah! Cyber Akuma? No problem.

All you have to do is make that bar above his name dissapear by hitting him for a while. Then you get endings that don't make any sense...
