Just read over at the MAME board that Nicola Salmoria is in the process of breaking the sound encryption on the Irem M92 games (R-Type LEO, Gunforce, In The Hunt etc....).

This beta cycle keeps getting better and better, hopefully the new sys16 driver will be done in the next couple of months.

Excellent!! I do like a good game of Gunforce and In the Hunt sometimes but the sound was quite frustrating given that it worked for a minute and then stopped. Excellent news Mr Yak!
