OK I've never really used Nebular before. Is it any good for speed?

Also is that internet play server thing still active? Damn it I cant remember the name of it right now but I wanna play my brother at a few games over the net.

Nebula has improved leaps and bounds speed wise since inception, it is faster than MAME for Neo-Geo at least (no surprise there). And yes it does have the Kaillera client plugin.

I checked up on broadband for my new condo and the asshole phone company said it wasn't available there! What a bunch of fuckers.

It's not as if I live on a farm

I'm moving to a suburb of cleveland whose population is probably 50,000. Why in the hell can't I get DSL??????????????

Broadband always has, and always will be a pain in my ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It?s not that great for speed. I gotta disable quite a few fancy things to get good speeds. But it?s THE most accurate CPS emu and NG emulation is almost as accurate as mame making it the second most accurate NG emu. And it?s the best NG CD emu you?ll find.

Hmm I hate XP. My emulators seem to run badly. I noticed it in mame before I formatted. It seems to play each sound twice which seriously affects the speed of the game.

I will definately get my Win98 CD back this weekend.

What emulators currently still have kaillera support?

- Mame32 v0.61 (0706)+Kaillera client v0.9 (2.9Mb).
- Mame32 v0.61 (0706)+Kaillera client v0.9 (Pentium Pro optimized) (2.7Mb).
- MameLang32+ (MAME32 with lots of features added)
- Bliss (Intellivision emulator)
- NESten (NES emulator)
- Jnes (NES emulator)
- Nemu64 (Nintendo 64 emulator)
- Modeler (Sega System 32 emulator)
- Gens (Sega Megadrive emulator)
- WinUAE (Amiga emulator)
- PCAE (Atari 2600 emulator)
- Kawaks (CPS1, CPS2 and NeoGeo emulator)

You'd probably like XP more if your machine were a little faster. I have a P3 700 with 512 MB RAM, as you may recall, and I don't have any issues with it.

Yes I would indeed Ad.

I will definately go back to it once I have a better machine but until then I will stick to 98 I think. Even if I cant get the latest video card drivers. Its of little consequence since I didnt notice any improvement in the speed of my card with that so called 40% speed increase with the last detonator drivers.

I think XP requires at least a P500. I'm only 100 more than that so its understandable that it wouldnt run well.

It sucks when a damn operating system uses more resources than most of the programs its designed to launch. Whats up with that?!?

Thats one area where MACs have hit the nail right on the head.

I seriously doubt it is your processor.. how much RAM do you have again? You really need at least 256 for it to perform adequately (taking into fact all your background processes such as virus scanner, MSN, real player etc) and above that for it to run like a stallion.

I bet realplayer is running! check the services. And if you remove it; it will reinstall itself.

Run >MSCONFIG > Startup remove it forever.
