Koreans to release new pile of crap: kof2002 MVS

KOF2002 will still be produced on the MVS motherboard because of the following reasons:

LOL, check out these lame excuses -

(1) The arcade centres' owners will cut cost as they need not buy new motherboards for their KOF machines;

Bullshit, I refuse to belive that they cant licence or develop a better board and sell it for less then the ludicrous price that new NG carts cost.

(2) KOF is a game focused on gameplay and not on graphics, so it is not necessary for a high-end motherboard;

If they actually wanted to genuinely move the series foward or improve the games they would have to use something better then that old piece of tat, NG games went past the point where they can actually do anything new well before SNK put themselves out of business.

(3) It will be easier for the programmers to program KOF2002 as they were already familiar with the MVS motherboard in making KOF2001.

Read - It will be easier for the programmers to program KOF2002 as they can directly copy and paste code and graphics from previous games.

It?s not the necessarily MVS itself that?s total crap! Well ok it is but SNK did some awesome games for it. These Koreans on the other hand suck major ass!! Look at kof2001 and MS4!! Total crap both of them! Kof2000 wasn?t very good compared to other kofs but compared to kof2001 it?s a God!

With the general consensus (among these posts) being that the old Neo-Geo hardware should be retired, I couldn?t agree more? it is dated, and nothing new can be done with it. Having said this though? where would you guys like to see the SNK games move to? Personally I like to see them move to the Tri-Force arcade board made by Nintendo. If for nothing else, this (moving to a new hardware platform) would prevent the game from being dumped so quickly? heh, as extra encouragement maybe the guy who dumped Rage Of The Dragons should release the ROMs
