IGN just put up tons of new pics of Capcom VS SNK 2. Looks like they are finally doing the game right. Rock Howard, Haohmaru, Athena and Hibiki are going to make it in this time as well as Eagle from SF1.

/me does his happy dance

To be honest, I prefer the brawling play style of MvsC2 over CvsS's more technical play. All those counter moves and tech hits do my bloody head in. Thats why I dont play SF3 anymore.

Just my opinion thats all. Does CvsS2 concentrate as much on this as its predecessor?

well the game only just went on test

there are six grooves and dammit all no fucking tag team! man that sucks

anyway, it depends on the groove I guess

IGN just had a big deal about it today

Hopefully this time one of the grooves will allow for air blocking!

Air blocking rules. Thats one of my favourite improvements of the more recent games.

I think I like the more technical games better, or a balance between brawling/technical fighting.

Well I could probably get used to them its just that the first game I picked up that introduced me to that style of fighting was SF3 Third Strike.

What the hell is a tech hit anyway??

Anyway SF3TS isnt the easiest of games and after defeating the boss once by scrapping my way through I was very dissapointed to see that they had put an annoying lack of thought into it. Kill him once, which is difficult enough and he recharges and comes back full force and more. Whats wrong with making him more resiliant then you at least know where you stand. Just my moan thats all but I didnt like the style of fighting and the supers are a right wanker to pull off too. It doesnt seem to respond like SFA1,2&3

I thought a technical was when an opponent gets thrown and then he/she stops themselves from falling in the air, then a message comes up saying "tech hit" this exists in all the Alpha games I believe.

I think that you have to pressin the direction that you are falling, and thn press either punch or kick to land on your feet.

yeah, there is a groove with air blocking
there's also one with parrying and one with Garou:MotW stuff (just defense, T.O.P.)

what I don't get is in SF3 third strike, you can get the option to turn on air blocking, but you can still only block the first hit of Gill's fireball?? what's up with that?

I think a tech hit is performed differently in a couple games, you have to hold either the same way your attacker did, or the opposite way, and hit the same throw button they used, you only take half damage from the throw

Good to here about a MOTW style groove if it is true. I love the system in that game. They took MOTW out ofthe arcade that i go to and now i have almost no one to beat up on in it
